2.8-Inch Aluminum Nokia 230 Is Official

Microsoft has recently unveiled its two new budget-friendly handsets including Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM. The devices feature a premium Aluminum back along with excellent design. The remaining body however is made up of polycarbonate. The Nokia 230 comes in two color variations, silver and dark silver.

In terms of specs, the Nokia 230 features a 2.8-inches QVGA display with 240×320p screen resolution. The device also packs in LED flash supported 2MP back camera along with 240p video recording capability and a 2MP front snapper with LED flash for selfies.

For storage, the Nokia 230 encompasses a 16MB of RAM along with microSD card support up to 32GB. In addition, the device also features a 1200mAh battery backup which is claimed to provide 23 hours talk time and 22 days standby time for Nokia Dual SIM and 27 days for Nokia 230.

Some of the other specs include Bluetooth 3.0, FM radio and 900/1800MHz GSM connectivity. The Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM also offer pre-installed MSN Weather, Bing Search and Opera Mini Browser applications.

Both the devices are expected to hit the Indian, Asian and Middle-Eastern markets in this December with a price tag of $55, however will go on sale in other markets in 2016.

With modest specs and affordable pricing, the Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM is a good choice for those Finland based- Nokia brand devoted consumers looking for a basic calling phone. After Microsoft’s acquisition of the mobile company, the focus has been on smartphone line Lumia and this new device is a break from the continued chain of Lumias in the past.
