The Dark Horse: Oppo Find 7

These days smartphone era is at its peak. Gone are the days when Apple or any other big smartphone manufacturer had monopoly. The concept of monopoly is long gone. It has become such that “minnows” are now giving giant manufacturers a run for their money. Such times are always exciting for a user. We see controlled prices, competition and better specs.

Oppo Find 7

One smartphone manufacturer that has been going steady but hasn’t been able to make a real name as yet is the Oppo. They have released decent sets like Find 5 and N1; both received good reviews and recorded reasonable sales. But the “killer” instinct has been lacking so far. So has the brand’s latest device Oppo Find 7 got what it takes? Would it challenge the supremacy of LG, Samsung and Sony?

Just to give you a little teaser before taking you to the specs: Oppo Find 7 is one of the very few smartphones that have a QHD display. Therefore there are a few reasons to be optimistic about Find 7.

Oppo Find 7 and the smartphone market

No one can categorically state that Find 7 would sweep the market or fail miserably. Only time will tell that. However the situation is the market at the moment is very exciting. Find 7 is not the only aspiring smartphone out there. Its closest rival is OnePlus One – a similar phone with decent specs.

The brand consciousness is still there but the market is a lot less saturated for big brands now. People now have the vision and knowledge to see past the brand. Android phones and the emergence of local Korean and Chinese mobile phones have blown the market wide open. Any decent phone with decent specs has a shot at being successful. The fact that Find 7 is only the second QHD phone out there (next to LG G3), no one can rule it out easily.

The specifications, both hardware and software suggest that modern day users will like the Find 7.

Why buy Oppo Find 7?

In our humble opinion Oppo Find 7 is a great catch and a curious techie should try it. It may not have fancy software censors and “cool” features but it is a solid device thanks to Snapdragon 801 chip. The 13 megapixel camera, the gigantic 32GB internal storage with an option of microSD card and then of course the mesmerizing 5.5 inch QHD screen – all these make up for a great smartphone. It may have some flaws like no radio or IR port but its quality of its pros is much greater than the flaws of its cons.
