LG Hints Its G5 Will Have A Removable Battery

LG has used its Twitter account to poke fun at Samsung while indicating that its forthcoming G5 handset will come with a removable battery. LG France tweeted at the height of an American multinational Apple’ s Bendgate affair,

“Nos smartphones ne se plient pas, ils sont naturellement incurves,”

Which is roughly translated to “Our Smartphones don’t bend , they are naturally curved.”

A lot of consumers were annoyed when Samsung chose to abandon removable battery layout opted for a uni-body design. A huge majority of smartphone users were afraid that LG might go the same way as LG is one of the few smartphone manufacturers that still have removable battery designs in their devices.

The Samsung posted an image of Galaxy S6 edge+ accompanying inscription stated that the device can charge from 0 to full in merely 90 minutes, for which the LG USA responded with,

“Go from zero to full instantly with a removable battery,” and the company also adds a link to its V10 device page.

This poke could apparently signify that LG will continue making phones with removable batteries. Especially G5 by LG will feature a removable battery along with Snapdragon 820 SoC, USB, Type C connectivity, QHD 5.6-inches display, 16MP and 8MP primary and front-facing shooters respectively.
