The new LG Android flip phone Wine smart handset stands apart from its predecessors as the company has decided to launch this Android based flip phone into the international market.
The folder or clamshell design of flip phones makes them appealing to many mobile phone users. So LG has taken lead over the other cell phone manufacturers in bringing the best of the android features to the flip phone lovers. Originally launched in the domestic South Korean market, LG Wine and will soon make its international debut by hitting the markets of Italy, France, UK and Japan.

This new LG Wine smartphone operates Lollipop Android 5.1.1 version. LG has stated that this mobile phone is meant for those users who are accustomed to using flip phones with folder style which are relatively secure and safe to use. The phone is also targeted towards the consumers who want to stand out in the crowd; the flip android smartphone LG Wine will provide them a perfect opportunity to do so.

Despite its small size LG Wine features a 3.2-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 320. Due to the success of the original Wine smart androids in South Korea LG optimized their last model and equipped it with multimedia features as it transitioned from a feature phone to a smartphone.

A large physical 3×4 numeric keypad for easy and accurate typing, hotkeys providing instant access to frequently used features such as phone dialer, address book, text messages or camera have been included in the new device.

LG Wine comes with a Safe Keeper function that automatically sends information like location to people assigned by the user when the handset is left unused for a period of time.
Larger-than-normal icons take full advantage of the 3×3 home screen layout on the crisp 3.2-inch HVGA display. Powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with 4GB of internal storage. Users can also install a MicroSD card for enhancing the internal storage.

Our goal with LG Wine Smart was to create a smartphone that fans of flip phones could embrace,” said Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company. “Consumers shouldn’t have to miss out on the smartphone revolution because they prefer a particular phone design over another. With LG Wine Smart, they won’t have to.

The technology speculators reveal that the LG Wine Smart flip phone will be released later this month. While it’s true that smartphone use is generally homogenizing, and most people have very similar requirements of their phones, there are still users who simply want something different. Those are the customers that LG is targeting with its Wine Smartphone.
