LG’S First Metal Clad Smartphone LG Zero Launched In Europe

The South Korean company had launched its first metal-made Smartphone in its home country back in September this year. The LG Class is now attainable in Europe, however with a different name-LG Zero. Currently the Android-based device is available only in Italy but is expected to hit the other European markets soon.

LG Class

Unlike LG’s other devices, LG Zero is made-up of aluminum chassis which gives it an elegant yet luxurious feel, however it seems to be the camera-centric, mid-range device because of its specs.

In terms of features, the handset comes with a 5-inches display with 720×1280p screen resolution. LG Zero is driven by quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor by Qualcomm and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. For camera, the device packs in a 13MP rear shooter with autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities along with an 8MP front facing snapper for selfies.

Other features include 1.5GB of RAM which is quite disappointing in comparison with the LG Class’s 2GB of RAM being offered in South Korea. The device also embraces 16GB of expandable internal storage and is supported by 2050mAh battery backup with 10 hours of talk time along with 480 hours standby time. The new handset weighs around 147g and measures 141mm×71.8mm×7.4mm.

LG Zero sports LTE connectivity along with other usual connectivity options including WI-FI, GPS, AGPS, Bluetooth 4.1, FM Radio and microUSB 2.0. It comes in two color variants including Gold and Silver. The device will set back its users €299($320) while the LG class in Korea is priced at KRW 399,300 which means the European price tag isn’t too far and corresponds to the price for LG Class in Korea.

It has also been speculated that AT&T will release the LG Zero in the US; however nothing has been officially declared yet.
