Microsoft Lumia 650 Goes Up For Pre-order

Speculated to be formally launched in the next month, Microsoft Lumia 650 is now available for pre-orders in UK. The retailer disclosed that the latest specs and features of the device reiterating the fact that this smartphone will be a mid-range handset.

As reported earlier, Microsoft is preparing to sell the Lumia 650 as an economical business device. Lumia 650 will encapsulate Windows 10 and hence will feature OneDrive, Microsoft Office and Cortana along with Microsoft Edge that has replaced Internet Explorer.

The handset will be driven by quad-core Snapdragon 210 SoC clocked at 1.1GHz and will be aided by 1GB of RAM, which apparently means that the device will not be tremendous at performing exhaustive tasks. As far as the display of the Lumia 650 is concerned, it is expected to come with 5-inches screen and 720×1280p screen resolution, which is not too sharp but is good enough for a mid-range, budget-friendly device.

Additional specifications include an LED-supported 8MP primary shooter along with a 5MP front-facing snapper to click selfies. The handset is also expected to support LTE connectivity and will sport 2000mAh battery backup.

As per the specs disclosed till now, the handset will come with only 8GB of internal storage but WinFuture, which is a German Website, says that it will feature 16GB along with microSD card slot.

The UK-based retailer demands €262.99 that is equivalent to $284. It was also previously speculated that the Lumia 650 would cost approximately $230 in Germany and the general expectation is that it will be economical when launched in the US.
