Motorola Launches the New and Powerful Moto X

The second generation of Moto X has been launched by Motorola. The tech world evolves faster than anything else. Once slimmer and smaller cellphones were the fashionable thing but not anymore, users want bigger and powerful smartphones. Therefore Motorola played it wisely and unveiled Moto X second generation which now has 5.2 inches screen and is jam packed with exciting features. Those who used Moto X before would tell you that it was a brilliant smartphone that offered great value since it was ridiculously low priced. But Motorola decided to conduct a research and found out that people like to buy phones with bigger screen, so they decided there is always room for improvement. And this attitude makes Motorola a top-notch emerging organization.

Moto X

Same design but bigger screen

The design is the same. It has the same curvy black edges and even the Motorola logo appears in the same spot, there are no buttons on the front – do design-wise everything is identical. However on the closer inspection, we see some striking differences: the screen to say the least. A 4.7 inch screen has transformed into 5.2 inches. The new Moto X is .28 inches wider and .40 inches taller. The screen is super AMOLED with full HD 1080p support.

It is not only about the screen though; the new Moto X doesn’t contain the plastic body. It now beholds an aluminum chassis – which is more elite looking. Despite the high quality body material, the new Moto X is only .18 ounce heavier. So you get bigger screen, better body and weight is almost the same – remarkable, well done Motorola.

Specifications

The camera has also been enhanced, it is now 13 megapixels camera (with 2 megapixels front camera) with LED covered by a translucent circle. Therefore when you use flash, the image quality remains intact and the effect of flash is softened.

The old Moto X had a 1.7 GHz processor; the newer model boasts a powerful 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The new model has 2GB RAM, 16GB storage capacity, a 32GB model is also available. The OS is KitKat 4.4 and Motorola have hinted that Android L will be compatible with the device.

Bigger screen and better features can always play host to battery problems. But Motorola seem to be aware of that. The battery is the same 2300maH battery but Motorola has devised a plan for power conversion. The special features of the phone runs on battery saving mood and without letting the user feel it, it interacts with the user in “light and mild” battery saving ways. For example, you can look at your messages without unlocking the phone and going into the messages. All you have to do is hold the lock screen and you can take your finger to the check messages icon. In all this the pixels that are needed to display the notifications get brightened while the rest of the screen remains dim.

Also a lot like iPhone, the Motorola Moto X allows you to take pictures in the burst mode and look at the best picture later on which also battery is saving.
