Pixel offers the latest operating system for Android with the Android 7.1 Nougat; two years of OS updates and three years of updates for security.

Media

A single bottom-firing speaker gives the Pixel a quality, crisp sound.
The speaker durability and performance can be maximised by the adaptive audio amplifier.

Actual performance of the battery is variable on many factors, including signal.
Both the Pixel and the Pixel XL offer a fast charging option, whereby fifteen minutes of charging can produce 7 hours of use.

A fast fingerprint sensor is available with Pixel Imprint. There are an accelerometer and gyroscope, magnetometer and barometer. Other sensors include a proximity and ambient light sensor, a hall sensor and Android sensor hub.
