Sony launches Xperia XA Ultra

The Japanese firm Sony has released its fourth handset under the popular Xperia X range, dubbed the Xperia XA Ultra. The company had revealed Xperia XA, X and XA Performance devices at the Mobile World Congress this year.

Although Sony Xperia XA Ultra is currently listed on the company’s international website, the price and availability of the handset are yet to be revealed.

As the name suggests, the upcoming Sony Xperia XA Ultra is the upgraded version of the Xperia XA. The latest handset will come with a bigger display with higher resolution and better RAM capacity.  In addition, the smartphone will be available in both single as well as dual SIM models.

In terms of specs, the handset features a full HD 6-inches display powered by Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2 tech. The smartphone is fueled by octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC along with Mali GPU for enhanced graphics.

On the storage front, Sony Xperia XA Ultra sports 3GB of RAM along with 16GB built-in storage on board that can conveniently be expanded up to 200GB via microSD card slot.

For the camera, the smartphone packs in a massive autofocus supported 21.5MP Exmor RS back camera along with 16MP front-facing snapper designed specifically to click selfies.

The handset is backed by 2700mAh battery and it will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box. Connectivity options include GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, 4G LTE, WIFI, DLNA, NFC and microUSB connectivity.

The smartphone measures 164.2×79.4×8.4mm and will be available in Lime Gold, White and Black color options.
