Elite X3 was first announced during the Mobile World Congress in February 2016. The video also shows Terry Myerson, Microsoft Windows and Devices head, expressing his pleasure on the collaboration of the two groups for the smartphone.

The video posted by HP depicts the 5.96-inches Elite X3 attached to its Continuum dock whereby it can be used like a Windows 10 PC when attached to a large screen monitor. The handset will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC by Qualcomm and it will feature 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal memory on board.

As far as the other specs of the alleged device are concerned, it is said to come with an AMOLED multi-touch display with 2560×1440p screen resolution along with Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. For camera, the smartphone will pack in 16MP FHD back shooter with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing camera designed specifically to click selfies.

HP has not yet declared a particular launch date as well as the price for the Elite X3. However, as the device banks on a fingerprint sensor and MDM features, recent speculations suggest that it would be launched sometime around the summer, after the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
