Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro Sales Starting On April 6

The Chinese multinational Xiaomis is geared up to release its Mi 5 Pro edition in China on 6th April. The handset is a variant of Mi 5 and features a 3D ceramic rear cover.

According to Hugo Barra, the Vice President of Xiaomi, the device will be made available only in the main markets, which implies that the Western market users will not be able to buy the handset directly from the local vendors.

Notably, Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro will hit the retail in the Chinese markets the same day as P9 by Huawei and M3 Note by Meizu will be launched.

As far as the specs of the device are concerned, it will feature a full HD 5.15-inch display with 1920×1080p screen resolution along with curved glass. The handset is driven by Snapdragon 820 Quad-core SoC by Qualcomm along with Adreno 530 GPU for graphics.

For storage, Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro will sport 4GB of RAM along with 128GB internal storage on board and will run Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box topped with MIUI 7.

In terms of camera, the handset will encapsulate 16MP primary snapper supported by dual tone LED flash along with 4MP front-facing camera that will come with an 80-degreewide angle lens for selfies.

Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, WIFI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual band, NFC and USB Type C connectivity. In addition, the handset will also sport fingerprint sensor and infrared sensor t.

Mi 5 by Xiaomi will be powered by 3000mAh battery backup and will be priced at approximately $413.
