Asus PadFone X Review

The PadFone X, manufactured by the Taiwanese manufacturer Asus, is one of the pioneer hybrid devices which have officially hit the US market through AT&T. It was announced in this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas. The device has a tablet docking station with a 9 inch IPS display and stereo speakers with a very high-end Android handset.

The Asus PadFone X can easily be a dream device for many android users. The handset can easily stand up to the most high-end phones out there because of its combination of Snapdragon 800 SoC, 13MP camera with 4K recording, and 5″ 1080p Super IPS+ display
However, on the other hand, the bundled docking station will work like a charm to the budget-minded. The amount of features and functions the station provides, in price so reasonable makes it stand out among its competitors. The devices takes the cake by offering the optional full keyboard that makes it almost into a compact notebook.

  • The Asus PadFone X hit the market quite late. It was announced 6 months before its release date.

  • Tablet has huge bezels, to some it might be attractive but to others they look tacky.

Eventhough the set lacks the basic beauty of a handset, but it makes up for it in the performance. The device not only has a capable camera, it also provides you with a fantastic display, a very powerful chipset and an Android KitKat with many features designed specifically for Asus.
The Tablet dock is what truly inspired people to fall for Asus PadFone. It has all the features that you require and you can get it at a reasonable price. It is perfect for those who desire a tablet and can’t afford it.

All in all, the Asus PadFone X is perfect functionality wise, however it does lack the basic appearance of a handset, due to its broadness and huge bezels.
