Google Keep Note Taking App Comes to iPhone and iPad

On Thursday, Google launched its much awaited Google Keep for iOS. The Android and Android Wear based App is finally available for the users of iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and can be downloaded conveniently from Apple’s App store.

Surprisingly the iOS version took 30 months to show up as Google has launched its Android and web based app back in March, 2013.

The good part is that it contains almost every expected feature for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. iOS consumers can now easily filter and search notes in terms of their colors and labels, integrate reminders and enjoy real time sharing.

Some additional features to highlight the notes include checklists, voice dictation and formatting options to make your notes standout.

Google Keep is said to provide catchy customization choices as well as increase in quality or productivity of work because of its sharing capability with colleagues and family.

As the iTunes list of description outs it, Google Keep helps you to:

  • Capture, edit, share and collaborate on your notes on any device, anywhere.
  • Add notes, lists, photos, and audio to keep.
  • Organize your notes with labels and colors.
  • Set and forget. Get reminded about a note at the right time or place.
  • Record a voice memo and have it automatically transcribed.
  • Grab the text from an image to help you quickly find that note again through search.

Google Keep also facilitates its users to set time and location based reminders for things like a reminder to send an anniversary card to the family member or to pick grocery from the store.

Google Keep note is not unique when it faces competition against Microsoft’s OneNote and Evernote offering plenty of features for iOS apps but Google Keep is slightly distinctive in layout and indeed a good choice in its own way.
