Water Resistant HTC BOLT with 5.5-inch Quad HD display and Android 7.0 Announced

The Taiwanese multinational HTC has made the much awaited Bolt official. The smartphone will land in two colors including Glacier Silver and Gunmetal. The latest HTC handset will be available for Purchase from Friday exclusively through Sprint as well as the US-based stores of the company.

In terms of design, the phone will sport an aluminum unibody with chamfered edges and fingerprint scanner mounted in the home button. Moreover, the upcoming handset will be IP57 water resistance certified.

For display, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super LCD 3 display with 1440×2560p screen resolution.

Under the hood, HTC Bolt is fueled by the Snapdragon 810 SoC by Qualcomm and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat topped with HTC Sense UI out of the box.

The phone will feature 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of built-in storage that can be extended via microSD card slot.

The smartphone will pack in a dual-LED flash supported 16MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, phase detection auto-focus, and 4K video recording capability. In addition, an 8MP front-facing snapper to click selfies is also included in the package.

Connectivity choices include NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac dual-band, GPS with GLONASS, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy and USB Type C connectivity.

The handset measures 153.6×77.3×8.1mm and weighs 172g and will be backed by a 3200mAh battery backup along with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 for fast charging.

Those interested in buying HTC Bolt without a contract can get it at a hefty price tag of $599.
