Just before the official launch of Samsung’s new flagship device, the company accidently leaked specs of the upcoming cellphone Galaxy S6 Edge+. Realizing the mistake, Samsung immediately pulled down the details from the page and posted a live event update on it.
The detailed listing has revealed that Galaxy S6 Edge+ will feature a 5.67 inches screen with Super AMOLED Quad-HD display and 2,560 x 1,440p high resolution. It will be powered by Exynos 7420 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM.
This device will possess 32GB built-in memory capacity that is, unfortunately, not further expandable. The internet browser will be powered with LTE Cat 6 that offers 300 Mbps download speeds. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1 and NFC. Samsung’s fingerprint sensor will also appear on this phone.
The smartphone will feature a 16 megapixels rear cam and a 5 megapixels front camera for ensuring perfect crystal clear picture quality. The power backup will be provided by a 3000mAh battery providing hours of surfing. It will run Android 5.1 Lollipop and will exclusively feature the newly launched Samsung Pay.
The S6 Edge+ will be released with some pre-installed music apps. The early pictures for Samsung’s Level Headphones and the ‘Google GOOGL +0.09% Play Musique’ logo promise a mind blowing experience specially for music lovers because unlimited music will be provided for three months for those who pre-register themselves for this device. However, the offer might be limited to those residing in French quarters.
Though Galaxy S6 Edge+ is just about to hit the markets but it is being speculated that further leaks will reveal some more features before its official launch. Meanwhile Samsung is more concerned about the privacy of its Galaxy Note 5.
Galaxy S6 Edge+ will probably come in 2 variants, 32GB phablet version costing $1012 and 64GB version hanging a price tag of $1112 or even more.
