Google Nexus6 (2015) Release Date Delayed by Huawei- Nexus 5X is on the Way

Google was expected to introduce two Nexus smartphone flagships this year. One was supposed to be LG-built smartphone and the other, christened the Nexus 6 Phablet, was to be manufactured by Huawei, the Chinese technology giant. The LG device has been codenamed Bullhead and is known among tech fans as Nexus 5 while the one made by Huawei has been given the code name Angler otherwise known as Nexus 6 phablet.

Earlier it was expected that Nexus 6 phablet will hit the market on September 29, on the same day as Nexus 5. But current reports claims that the release date may get delayed till next year as Huawei is currently focusing its energies on development of a Mi-edge smartphone. The device is rumored to feature a Samsung supplied 2K display.

The Bullhead is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset with speculated battery backing of about 2700 mAh. The Nexus 5 will come with 5.2- inches display with 1440×2560p resolution and an Android M operating system. Other rumored specs includes, Wi-Fi, wireless charging, 13 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera, a fingerprint scanner and 3 GB RAM. The expected price range of Nexus 5 is under $500.

Huawei Angler on the other hand will be driven by the Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 810 with built in finger print sensor and a 5.7 –inches display. The rumored battery capacity is 3500 mAh. Like Nexus 5 it is also being expected to operate on Android M operating system.

As per recently published reports, both expected launches would invite pre-orders on October 13.

Rumors suggest that Nexus 5X is set to launch on September 29, in a Google hosted Nexus event in San Francisco. The all new Nexus 5X will come in white, black and blue variations. It is an Android 6.0 Marshmallow supported device with fingerprint sensors and Snapdragon 808 processor. Nexus 5X will come with 12.7 MP camera and a battery capacity of 2700 mAh. Other speculated specs include a 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution, 16/32 GB memory options and 3 GB RAM.

The Nexus season is on. However Google has not said much about its upcoming expected releases.
