According to the Director mobile business Manu, Samsung India:

“The Galaxy J2 is an affordable 4G handset which has, for the first time, an ultra-data saving mode. This is the first handset from Samsung with the new data saving facility developed in India.”

This phone is said to be the extension of the Galaxy J1, launched earlier this year, and will be released in Black, Gold and white color variations. Sharma has emphasized that all affordable future smartphones will incorporate the ultra-data saving feature.

The company has claimed that the use of UDS can provide up to 50% data saving capability. The available UDS is powered by Opera Max which gives users an access to allow or block certain apps.
Other distinct features of Galaxy J2 include a 1.3 GHz Quad Core Exynos3475 processor and a T720 Mali GPU. The new Samsung Galaxy J4 comes with a 4.5- inches HD (540×960p resolution) display and a rear 5 MP cam augmented with LED flash and a 2 MP front cam. The phone has an 8 GB expandable internal storage and a TouchWiz UI on top. The Galaxy J4 measures 136.5×69×8.4 mm and supports dual SIM.

Like its predecessor J1, Samsung Galaxy J2 also supports LTE bands and 4G in India. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth, WiFi, Micro-USB and GPS with 2000 mAh battery.

“We feel India is ready for 4G. It is our focus and is critical for Samsung”, Sharma said.

Company claims its domination over market by having 40% shares in smartphones.
“We are also leaders in 4G market.” Sharma further added.
