Huawei P9 Speculated For Launch in March 2016

The Chinese global networking and telecommunications firm Huawei launched its Huawei P8 back in April this year and the handset was lauded for its slim, sleek design and superior appearance. Just after the release of Huawei P8, the speculations about the successor, the Huawei P9, were already leaking throughout the smartphone arena.

Hauwei P9 Launch

As per the former leaks, the Huawei P9 was alleged to debut before the start of 2016. However it seems like the company has rescheduled the launch. A latest report from Smartphones blog Mobile-dad suggests that Huawei will now release Huawei P9 in March next year, which is exactly a year after the launch of the original Huawei P8.

As per speculations, Huawei P9 is expected to feature a Kirin 950 processor, which is a chip made by Huawei itself. Rumors also suggests that this chip will be faster than the Samsung compelling Exynos 7420, which apparently means Huawei P9 could be one of the speediest flagship on Android.

In addition to that the P9 snapper is rumored to flaunt two lenses along with a laser auto-focus and is expected to capture images at 16MP resolution.

Like the company’s other smartphones, Huawei P9 is also expected to pack in a full HD display. The display is speculated to measure in 5.2-inches, same as the P8.

The Huawei P8 was priced at US$530 so the new device will presumably also be in the range of US$500. However these all are speculations and the specs and price will be confirmed only when Huawei will announce the details officially.
