The recently launched LG G5 will be available for pre-order on 18th of March. Till now, the leading US-based carriers have all reported that they will carry LG’s latest handset. However, no exact release date or the pricing details have been disclosed.
Notably, March 18th comes exactly a week later after the South Korean multinational’s major competitor, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge hit the markets.
As far as the design of the handset is concerned, LG G5 is completely different from its precursors. The company has employed distinct design materials and a new production approach.
G5 by LG will feature a 5.3-inches QHD display with 2560×1440p screen resolution and 554ppi pixel density. The handset will pack in 4GB of RAM along with 32GB internal storage that would be extendable up to 2TB via microSD card.
In terms of camera, the LG G5 will sport 16MP back camera along with 8MP front-facing snapper designed specifically to click selfies. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC by Qualcomm and will be driven by Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
LG G5 will be powered by 2800mAh removable battery. The smartphone will be made available for purchase in four color choices including titan, pink, gold and silver.
For connectivity, the LG G5 will support WI-FI 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type C connectivity, NFC and Bluetooth 4.2. The handset will weigh around 159g and will measure 149.4×73.9×7.7mm.
As the pre-order date for LG’s forthcoming device has now been made public, the users can wisely make a choice between Samsung’s flag ship devices, vis-à-vis Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, and LG G5 on the basis of specs and available features.
