Motorola finally delivers a great camera in the Moto X Pure Edition 1

Motorola ranked third in terms of global smartphone market share which was a mere 1.3% as compared to its major competitors Samsung and Apple who contributed 24% and 18% of the global smartphone sales respectively. Though Motorola devices came packed with quite a few outstanding features, a good camera had always been the missing ingredient.

Finally, Motorola has delivered its promise of getting the camera issue fixed in its Moto X Pure Edition. Otherwise called Moto X Pure Style, will be a budget friendly device and has been structured to work on almost all the major US wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint. The only drawback seems to be the big size which makes the handling of the set a bit difficult. Another obvious omission was that of a fingerprint sensor, which is strange given the recent trend of biometric recognition feature in the devices of all tech giants.

Other significant features include a 5.7-inches QHD display with 2560×1440p resolution and 16/32/64 GB microSD supported storage. The handset is powered by Snapdragon 808 processor with battery backup of 3000 mAh. Other specs include Turbo charging capability, dual front speakers and a 5 MP camera with front flash. Moto X Pure Edition also supports gesture controls which is an added benefit.

Motorola itself is quite excited with the quality of the camera this time. Moto X Pure Style has a 21 MP rear camera with capability to shoot 1080 front video and can manage to record 4K rear videos. The Camera also supports Night mode and slow-mo footages.

The rear camera in particular is capable to click panoramic photos with ability to scan QR and Bar codes. The front facing camera is also augmented with its own flash.

Moto X Pure Edition 1 might not beat top gadgets with its camera functionality but it certainly is a customizable package which can live up to high tech smartphone needs.
