Samsung Galaxy Tab Edge: The Curved Tablet

While the world has been waiting around for Samsung to release news of its upcoming devices Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge plus, the list of rumored Samsung devices has expanded as the Galaxy Tab Edge joins the foray.

The curved tablet by Samsung will have similar aspects as the Galaxy Tab S2. The device is rumored to have a 7.9 to 8 inches display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. Featuring the S-AMOLED display, one of the two sides will be curved.

The device will most likely be powered by a quad-core processor and will have 3GB RAM.

Samsung had previously created quite a stir in the market by introducing its curved edge featuring devices and the speculations around the new device indicate that the company is set to repeat history with its new product.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Edge will follow the design of Note 5 Edge, S6 Edge and S6 edge plus.

Samsung’s website launched an image displaying 3 upcoming smart devices. First one is rumored to be S6 Edge plus, second was Note 5 Edge with the S-Pen stylus while the third surprise device appeared to be slightly bigger having a 7-8 inch display.

The device seems to differ from Galaxy Tab S2 in its speaker zone. Galaxy Tab S2 seems to have speaker at the bottom without a thin plastic gap separating from the aluminum body. On the contrary, Samsung Galaxy Tab Edge has plastic gaps so that the chances of Wi-Fi signals lost from an all-aluminum device are minimized.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Edge will most likely feature 8MP rear and 5.1MP front camera. It was expected to be released on 13th August but now its release date has not been disclosed. Samsung expects their Edge series to be a fresh experience for their users in the world of chic and tantalizing smart phones.
