Sony Xperia M5 Is Now Up For Pre-order In The UK

It has only been a few days since the news broke out that the Japanese multinational Sony is preparing to introduce its flagship Xperia M5 in the European markets. Initially only Netherlands and Poland made it to the list of countries where the device would be available for purchase. However, now UK has also joined the other two countries on this list.

Carphone Warehouse has started to receive pre-orders for the device, with shipment speculated to be made by 8th of February. A limited number of the gold variant of Xperia M5 will also be in stock exclusively for the UK residents.

At present, Sony Xperia M5 cannot be pre-ordered in SIM-free mode or on Pay as you go mode. The set is now free of the additional charges of £22.

At present, the most economical plan is being offered by Vodafone that will include 500 minutes, 500MB of 4G data every month and unlimited texts. However the buyers can select any plan of their choice. If you need a little something extra, there is another plan by Vodafone costing £36 for a month, £39 at O2 and £44.99 at EE which offers unlimited texts and calls as well as 10GB of data.

In terms of specs, the handset flaunts touch-enabled 5-inches display with 1080p screen resolution and is driven by Helio X10 SoC by MediaTek along with octa-core Cortex A-53 CPU clocked at 2GHz. For storage it encapsulates 3GB of RAM along with 16GB of extendable storage.

The device also sports a 21MP rear shooter with 13MP front-facing camera for selfies. Sony Xperia M5 comes with 4G support, 2600mAh battery backup and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
