Xiaomi Smartphone With 5-inch Display And Octa-core Cpu Passes Through TENAA

The Chinese electronics company Xiaomi had formerly announced the Redmi Note 3 and now a latest variant of the Redmi array sporting a nearly similar metal body has been accredited by TENAA in China.

The handset seems to be a sibling of the Redmi Note 3 except for the fact that it does not feature a fingerprint sensor.

The phone is also a bit thinner than the Xiaomi Note 3 at 8.5mm thickness. The processor has been switched with a Snapdragon 617 SoC. Previously the T6795 Heli X10 processor by MediaTek with Cortex A-53 was features in Redmi 3. From the images disclosed in the TENAA recognition, the current Redmi 3 seems to be identical to the first generation iPhone from the back and side designs of the handset.

The Redmi 3 features HD 5-inches IPS display with 1280×720p screen resolution. The device is driven by an Octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. For storage, the handset packs in 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage that can conveniently be extended up to 32GB with microSD card.

In terms of camera, the device embraces an LED-supported 13MP primary shooter along with a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The Redmi 3 holds 4000mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based MIUI operating system. In addition the handset also flaunts a Dual SIM support along with 4G LTE /3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WIFI 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.
