The speculated launch time for Idol Pro is the latter half of 2016. Newly surfaced rumors suggest that an Idol 4 Mini version is also in the works. Although the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro is a Windows 10-driven smartphone, the mini variant is said to run on Android Marshmallow 6.0.

Earlier reports have suggested that the Idol 4 Pro looks quite identical to the Alcatel Idol 4S, being designed around a metal chassis and featuring an AMOLED 5.5-inch display. The mini version will come with a 5-inch display with 720p screen resolution.

For processor, the Idol 4 Pro is fueled by Qualcomm’s top of the line Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory. On the other hand, the latest mini version is speculated to be powered by MediaTek processor. In addition, the original Idol 4 Pro will be backed by 3000mAh battery backup while the Idol 4 mini will sport 2400mAh battery.

The mini variant is also speculated to come with multiple storage options with RAM from 1GB to 3GB and internal storage ranging from 8GB to 32GB.

For camera, unlike the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro version that embraces 21MP at rear along with 8MP front facing snapper, the mini model will feature a 13MP back camera and 5MP selfie clicker. In addition, the Idol 4 Mini will also feature a fingerprint scanner mounted over the home button.

There has been no exact information regarding the pricing and official release of the devices.
