Huawei Honor 5X Launches in China

Huawei has recently unveiled its latest Smartphone flagship christened Honor Glory Play 5X in China. Honor 5X is the replacement of Honor 4X introduced earlier this year in April. The 4G enabled handset is a wallet friendly phone supporting mid-range specs.

Honor 5X comes in two variants including 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM and will cost around 999 Yuan and 1399 Yuan respectively.

Huawei has not yet released any update regarding the availability of the handset outside China.

In terms of specs the device features a 5.5-inches IPS FHD display with 1920×1080p screen resolution along with 400ppi pixel density. The handset also supports finger print sensor feature. Huawei Honor 5X is powered by Snapdragon 615 chip by Qualcomm with a 64-bit quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 1.2GHz A53 processors along with Adreno 405 GPU.

The device rolls out with a dual-LED flash 13MP primary camera along with 5MP front facing snapper for selfies. Both the cams’ feature multifunction attributes, the 13 MP primary camera comes with an f/2.0 aperture, Blue Glass IR filter and a 28mm wide angle lens. On the other hand the 5MP selfie camera features a 22MP wide angle lens along with 4P lens, f/2.2 aperture and a Blue Glass filter.

Honor 5X runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and is backed by 3000 mAh battery along with quick charge 3.0 capability. The device also supports 2/3GB RAM with 16GB internal storage that can be conveniently expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.

The Huawei Honor 5X weighs around 158g and has 8.15mm thickness.

In terms of connectivity the handset supports dual SIM, 4G LTE, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0 along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.

The device will be available for sale from 3rd November onwards in China and can be purchased from Huawei stores as well as online.
