The much awaited OnePlus X just got official and it is another Smartphone added to OnePlus’ three-robust portfolio. The device brings some modest specs in tow.
The external display of OnePlus X is definitely the major charm of the device. OnePlus X comes in two modifications-Onyx and a limited Ceramic edition. The names are not confined merely to the color variation, instead it reflects the actual materials used. The Onyx version is a black glass-made device on a metal bezel, whereas ceramic one is more appealing and features a scratch-resistant capability. The ceramic version is a limited edition, with only 10,000 up for grab.
The device also features a 5-inches Active Matrix OLED display along with 1080p resolution and 441ppi. OnePlus X is driven by an amazing Snapdragon 801 chipset augmented with Adreno 330 graphics and is supported by 3GB of RAM.
Unlike OnePlus and OnePlus 2 that featured 3300mAh and 3100mAh battery backups respectively, the new OnePlus X surprisingly comes with a 2525mAh battery, which means the handset might not last as long as the other two flagships, however as it has a smaller screen/display to power, optimistically there will not be much disparity.
The handset also features a 16GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 128GB with microSD card and runs a company’s own Android 5.11 based OxygenOS 2.
In terms of camera, the OnePlus X features a 13MP primary shooter and a genial 8MP selfie snapper along with Beauty Mode which ensures pretty selfies. However the device features a standard unit’s aperture of f/2.2 and will be able to shoot merely 1080p. The good thing is that you can avail HD slow-motion option while capturing videos.
The Onyx version will cost around £199 whereas ceramic edition can be purchased for £269. The OnePlus X is the thinnest, lightest available Smartphone flagship. The device offers an affordable package along with some decent specs.
